How To Remove Write Protection Error on Pen Drive/SD Cards

Nowadays many users getting "Write Protected" Error on their USB while formatting Them.we can not copy/paste data into USB flash drive and also we can not format Drive.Today we will tell you how you can repair your Flash drive.Many companies provide extra button to Unprotected your device and you can repair your USB Drive.But when you don't have any button then??Here is solution.

First Method:

you can enable or disable write protection of USB drives By configuring settings in Windows Registry:


1.Go to run and type "regedit" and press enter.


2.Go to to the below registry key location,

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies"

3.If “StorageDevicePolicies” does not exist,then you need to create it.

Just Right click on the control and select new>key and create“StorageDevicePolicies”.

Then select it and right-click in the right window and select new>Dword(32-bit)Value and name it as“WriteProtect”.


4.Double click on WriteProtect and set Value Data to 0(zero)and press OK.This will disable the write protection.


Second Method:

Connect the pen drive/memory card to computer and check drive letter.My Drive letter is (G:) replace your drive letter with your drive letter.

1.Shutdown your PC and Connect the USB/SD card.

2.Start the computer and press “F8” key. 


3.Select Safe Mode from the list and open cmd.


4.Paste this code into cmd "C:\windows\system32>G:" and press Enter.


5."G:\>format F:" and press Enter.


6.If it asks(Y/N)then press(Y)and press enter.


7.it starts formatting your drive and after this process you can enable to use your USB drive.
